The injured Harish has been admitted to a hospital and a case has been registered against Rakesh.

This is not the first time a Karnataka Congress lawmaker’s son was involved in assault case. In February, 2018, a Karnataka Congress MLA’ son, Mohammed Nalapad, was arrested for beating a man at a restaurant in Bengaluru.

Nalapad was accused of beating a man, identified as Vidyut, at a restaurant in Bengaluru. As per media reports, Vidyut had sat with his leg stretched due to an injury to which Nalapad objected. The man’s refusal enraged the Congress leader, who went on to brutally assault him.

Nalapad, son of sacked MLA NA Haris, was later blacklisted from Karnataka Congress for six years.
