Kerala governor takes a dig at LDF govt over Sangam issue

Taking a dig at the LDF government on the Ayyappa Sangam issue, Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar wondered how those who oppose the culture of India and criticize Guru Puja and Bharatamba have suddenly become devotees of Lord Ayyappa.

Inaugurating the Navratri Sargotsavam in Kozhikode on Thursday, he said if such an attitude is really in their minds, why are they not ready to tell it to the people openly.

“I don’t know where they got this culture from. I don’t think their minds are pure. If they are pure, they should openly change their stance,” said Rajendra Arlekar.

He said that they are doing all this for political gains and that people are seeing through it.
