J&K: 2 soldiers killed, 3 others including 2 civilians injured in fierce gunfight with terrorists
The injured soldiers were evacuated to the military hospital but two of the critically injured succumbed to their wounds, reports said.
Two unidentified terrorists were gunned down on Friday evening in a brief encounter in the Watergam area of Rafiabad in Baramulla.
Reports said the terrorists fired upon a patrolling party of Army’s 32 RR in Watergam area of Baramulla, and they retaliated, resulting in a brief exchange of fire, in which the two terrorists were killed.
The gunfight took place in an orchard area of Watergam. While the body of one militant was recovered immediately, that of the other killed in the operation was traced after a thorough search of the area that went on for some time.
