Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial face, Tejashwi Yadav, on Friday mocked the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) manifesto for Bihar elections, terming it a ‘sorry patra’, and said that it was released randomly.

Levelling up his criticism against the NDA, Tejashwi said the manifesto was a ‘jumla’ and that the people of Bihar had recognised the ‘chaal charitra’ (character) of the NDA.

Khera said, “Why is the Chief Minister, who is their face, not allowed to speak? Why is Nitish Kumar being insulted time and again? Do they fear they have nothing to show in their report card? What is the matter that Nitish Kumar is not allowed to speak?”

Tejashwi added, “The CM might not even know what is in that manifesto. Perhaps the press conference was cut short to prevent him from speaking. We read it. NDA should release a ‘sorry patra’ instead and apologise to the 14 crore people of Bihar. The state remains the poorest despite their 20-year rule. There are no factories here, no investment. This government has failed in all sectors. They have brought the manifesto in haste.”

Exuding confidence in the Grand Alliance, the RJD leader said, “They will give the NDA a befitting reply this time. The Mahagathbandhan will form the government. People of the state want to end unemployment.”

“They copy everything. They say they will provide 1 crore jobs. They ask me where I will generate jobs from; they should instead explain where they will do it from,” he added.

The ruling NDA on Friday put out its joint manifesto for the impending Bihar Assembly elections, assuring one crore jobs, EBC empowerment and rapid industrial development in the state.

The manifesto was released by CM Nitish Kumar, BJP national president JP Nadda, LJP (Ram Vilas) leader and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, HAM (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, and other NDA alliance partners in Patna.

The 24-point vision document emphasised education, agriculture, infrastructure, creating one crore government jobs and the welfare of women and EBC.

The NDA also assured to establish mega skill centres in every district if it returned to power.
The ruling alliance promised to develop industrial parks and set up factories across all districts in the next five years.
