Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi to take over as next Naval chief
Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, who is presently serving as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, will be the next Chief of the Naval Staff, it was officially announced on Friday.
Indian Navy recruitment 2018: The Indian Navy has asked for applications from unmarried male/female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission, SSC, in Executive Branch (logistics and Law cadre) and from unmarried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission, SSC, in Information Technology Specialisation. Candidates can apply for the above posts at https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/
The recruitment is for a course that will start from July 2019 at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala.
Candidates should note that the last date for applying for the above post is October 5, 2018.

• SSC (Logistics): 20
• SSC X (Male):15
• SSC (Law):2
Academic Qualification:
SSC Logistics branch: All the candidates applying for this post should have a degree in either BE/ BTech, MBA, BSC/ BCom/BSc(IT), MCA, Bachelor of Architecture. They should have a minimum of 60 per cent from a recognised institute.
SSC in IT branch: All the candidates who are applying for this post should possess a degree BE/BTech/ Computer Engineering, M.Sc, BSc, MTech, BCA/MCA with a minimum of 60 per cent of marks.
SSC in Law: All the candidates who are applying for this post must possess a bachelors degree in Law with a minimum of 55 per cent from a recognised institute or varsity.
