Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday lauded the Indian Navy, stating that it is the citadel of country’s pride that stands on the ocean bulwarking the nation from every threat with invincible valour.
Extending his greetings to the nation’s maritime force on the occasion of the Navy Day, he said that it is shielding the country’s growth through maritime routes.

Shah, taking to social media platform X, also wrote for the Indian Navy that, “The golden saga of patriotism they have scripted with ultimate sacrifice will inspire generations of warriors.”
Remembering the maritime force’s personnel who sacrificed their lives for the country, Shah stated, “Tributes to the warriors of the Navy who laid down their lives for the nation.”
Earlier, Shah during his address at the IMW this year had said that the country serves as a vital bridge between the Indo- Pacific and the Global South, due to strong naval capabilities, strategic maritime position, and democratic stability.
Meanwhile, country’s maritime force is further stepping up its capabilities, with India’s third indigenous nuclear ballistic missile submarine INS Aridhaman now in the final stages of its trials, and the Indian Navy is poised to commission the strategic platform shortly, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi had said on Tuesday.
Last month, the navy commissioned the first of the home designed and built submarine hunter shallow water craft INS Mahe, stepping up country’s anti- submarine warfare capabilities.
