A unit of Indian Army organized an Ex-Servicemen Rally as part of the Year of next of kin (NoK) at Jagiroad, Assam on 05 Oct 2019 in Morigaon, Assam.

The rally was part of a regularly executed initiative to reach out to the Veterans fraternity as well as Veer Naris and help amelioration of their problems. The day-long rally provided a platform to the Ex-servicemen to highlight their issues regarding documentation and pension disbursal and interact with district administration.

More than 150 Ex-Servicemen and four Veen Naris participated in the rally from Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai and its adjoining areas. Stalls of Grievance Cell, ESM Data Updation Centre and Zila Sainik Board were set up to facilitate the resolution of issues faced by the ESM. Banks like ICICI and SBI were also present at the event to facilitate assistance for the Veterans and Veer Naris.
