It is peak mango season in India. The Alphonso harvest is at its richest, the Kesar at its most fragrant.
The National Investigation Agency has contacted the United States authorities for probing the links of Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian businessman convicted in the US for his role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Official sources told UNI that the Indian agency has sent a set of specific queries to its U.S. counterparts, seeking information on Rana’s potential connections to Pakistani entities. The NIA is investigating his role in the larger conspiracy behind the 26/11 attacks.

An NIA official, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “There has been some progress in gathering information. We have sent the U.S. a set of queries and are currently awaiting their response.”

The move is part of India’s ongoing efforts to gather further evidence and uncover the complete network behind the Mumbai terror attacks.
In July, the NIA filed a supplementary charge sheet against him in the case pertaining to a criminal conspiracy hatched by David Coleman Headley, Tahawwur Hussain Rana and other members of LeT and HUJI to carry out terrorist attacks in different parts of India.
