Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Thursday said India has become the “fastest growing” economy of the world under the Narendra Modi government.
Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Shah said progressive steps like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill have strengthened the country’s foundations.
“India has become the fastest growing economy of the world under Modi government… GST has strengthened the nation’s foundations,” Shah said.

Highlighting that no other prime minister had done so much for the development of Odisha, Shah said that PM Modi had allocated Rs.1 lakh 32 thousand crore rupees to the state.
“The steps taken by Modi government in the last three years for the betterment of Odisha are unprecedented,” he said.
