It was a proud moment for the nation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi bestowed astronaut wings to four astronaut-designates of ISRO’s Gaganyaan Mission, India’s first human space flight programme.
Addressing a programme at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, Prime Minister Modi said,” A while ago, the country saw four Gaganyaan travellers. They are not just four names or four human beings, they are the four powers that are going to take the aspirations of 140 crore Indians to space.”
