Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday offered candies to the BJP’s youth wing workers who showed him black flags during his ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in poll-bound Bihar’s Arrah.

A video of the incident has now gone viral on social media. It shows a group of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers waving black flags and raising slogans against the Congress leader in front of his convoy.

While the Congress has clarified that Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders were not present at the stage when Hindi expletives were used against PM Modi, the BJP slammed the Opposition leader for using derogatory language against the Prime Minister.

The Congress party said that Rahul Gandhi, his sister and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had already left the stage when the alleged incident took place.

Later, the police identified the accused as Mohammad Rizvi alias Raza and arrested him from Darbhanga’s Singhwara.
