Puja Pal, MLA from the Chail Assembly seat, who was expelled from the Samajwadi Party for praising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has written a letter to Akhilesh Yadav and launched a major attack.
She said that just as her husband was murdered in public and the Samajwadi Party protected the criminals, she is now being threatened and could also be murdered. “If I am also murdered, the real culprit will be Akhilesh Yadav,” she added.

Puja Pal said in her letter on Friday that she became MLA twice without the support of the Samajwadi Party, but contested the election from the party for the third time on the advice of its leaders.
Accusing the SP president, she said: “I thought Akhilesh Yadav would stand against criminals and ensure justice, but the reality turned out to be the opposite. In the Samajwadi Party, extremely backward and Dalits are treated as second-class citizens, while only Muslims are considered first-class, no matter how big criminals they are.”
She further alleged that Akhilesh Yadav and the Saifai family always supported her husband’s murderers, whereas the BJP government punished them. She said that when her husband’s killers were punished, Akhilesh Yadav and his entire party were seen standing with the criminals from the House to the road, which completely destroyed her trust in the SP.
She also launched a scathing attack over her expulsion, questioning, ‘If I was expelled for voting for the BJP candidate, then Akhilesh Yadav should explain why he and his wife have voted for the BJP many times. When they do it, it is not a crime, but when I thank those who delivered justice, I am expelled. This is a betrayal of the backward and Dalit communities.’”
She said that no one should forget the manner in which her husband was murdered. He was chased and killed on the streets of Prayagraj, and later, bullets were fired from an AK-47 in the hospital. Even after all this, Akhilesh Yadav neither ensured justice for her nor allowed the body a dignified farewell. Pooja Pal said that SP workers abuse her on social media and threaten to kill her. “If I am also murdered, the government should hold Akhilesh Yadav and his party directly responsible,” she added.
She said she is not afraid, stressing, “I am a daughter of a very backward caste. I have never bowed before criminals, nor will I ever do so. Nari Shakti never loses. I will fight and win again.”
