Indian Air Force Group Captain Angad Pratap has been selected by the government for the mission as one of the four astronauts.
IAF recruitment 2018: The Indian Air Force has released a notification inviting applications for Airmen in Group X and Y posts. Interested candidates can apply online at airmenselection.cdac.in till January 21, 2019.

• Exam dates: March 14 to 17, 2019
Age limit:
• The candidate must be born between January 19, 1999 and January 1, 2003.
Application fee:
• The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 250.
Academic qualification:
• Group X: The candidate must have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• Group Y: The candidate must have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• Group Y (Medical Assistant Trade): The candidate must have passed 10+2/Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
