Himachal: 8 killed in bus accident in Sirmaur; death toll may rise, says SP

At least eight people were killed and around five others were injured after a private bus en route to Shimla rolled down from the road in the Haripurdhar area in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district.

Police and other rescue teams have reached the spot and are trying to evacuate the injured.

Locals were seen providing immediate help in rescuing those injured in the bus accident.

The Superintendent of Police for the Sirmaur district, Nishchint Singh Negi has hinted that the number of casualties in the accident is likely to increase. He said, “Death toll could rise. There were 30-35 people in the bus. Rescue operations are underway. I am also moving to the spot. ”
