Union Cabinet approves India-UAE pact on economic corridor

The Gurjar community people on Saturday were disappointed after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed lakhs of them on the importance of 1111th ‘Avataran Mahotsav’ of Bhagwan Shree Devnarayan at Malaseri Dungri in Rajasthan but made no favourable announcement for the community.
They were, especially BJP’s Gurjar leaders were anticipating that the PM could declare Malesari Dungri comprising Shree Devnarayan temple area as ‘National Monument,’ announce a special Gurjar Regiment, and clear 5 per cent reservation to MBC (Most Backward Communities) by including MBC quota in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution.
Reacting on PM Modi’s speech at Malaseri Dungri, Vijay Bainsla, President of Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (GASS) and son of late Kirori Lal Bainsla, founder GASS, said that Prime Minister Modi has gone back with the blessings of God Devnarayan ji.

“Gurjar Samaj has a few demands with the Central government, mainly the MBC quota to Gurjars in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution, though Rajasthan’s Congress government has done it,” said Bainsla.
Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasara said the Prime Minister came to Rajasthan just to woo Gurjars’ votes as it had not won any MLA seat in previous 2018 assembly polls. Reacting before the media, Dotasara said that it was stunning that the PM did not make any announcement of any scheme for the state nor for the Malaseri Dungri religious place.
In a statement PCC General Secretary Jaswant Singh Gurjar recalled: “At least 72 Gurjars were killed in police firing during the previous BJP regimes, and the PM has not even expressed his grief, sorrow and apology in front of the society.”
Unlike Gurjars, on November 2, 2020, the Bhils community of Banswara district had felt disappointed when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had come to the Mangarh Dham and returned without fulfilling their demands including a national monument status to the Mangarh Hills.
Rajasthan is still waiting for the PM’s assurance which he made in the 2019 LS polls to declare ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project) as a national status for the supply of water in 13 districts of the state. Despite the non-cooperation of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry, Gehlot has made a budget provision of Rs 9600 crore for this project.
