PM Modi holds road show in Guwahati
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma received Prime Minister Modi at the airport as the electoral fervour grips the state with five seats of the state going to polls on April 19.
Daughter of US President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “transformational change” from a tea seller to a national leader and said that India was an “inspiration” for the world.
Addressing the Global Entrepreneurs Summit (GES) 2017 in Hyderabad, after jointly inaugurating it with PM Modi, Ivanka said India was “thriving economy, a beacon of democracy and a symbol of hope.”
“What you are achieving here is truly extraordinary… to build India as a thriving economy, a beacon of democracy and a symbol of hope to the world,” Ivanka said.

“From from your childhood selling tea to your election as PM, you have proven that transformational change is possible. And now you are bringing that promise to hundreds of people across the country,” she added.
“India has ably lifted over 130 million people out of poverty through entrepreneurship under the leadership of PM,” she said further.
Highlighting that India has made remarkable strides through innovative talent and entrepreneurial ability, Ivanka said India is “truly an inspiration” to the world.
Before inaugurating the summit, PM Modi held talks with Ivanka who is leading a delegation of senior Trump administration officials for the event.
