The hunt for the origins of Covid-19 has for the past four years been a tangled web of politics, power struggles, and international finger-pointing.
Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot was on Wednesday discharged after recovery from COVID-19 and Swine flu from SMS Hospital here.
“I was discharged today after being admitted to SMS hospital for 5 days due to Covid and swine flu. I am extremely satisfied that due to the free medicines, free tests and free treatment schemes launched by our government, all Rajasthanis get free treatment in all government hospitals including SMS. In 5 days, I had to undergo many tests including MRI, CT-Scan, which were done free of cost. My entire treatment was free,” he said in a post on ‘X’.
“I also talked to other patients in the hospital who said that they too have got great relief from the facility of free medicines, testing and treatment”, he added.

Hence he anticipated that the present government will continue these public welfare schemes of the Congress government and will further improve them in the public interest.
