Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra, stated here on Tuesday that the flag to be hoisted at the Ram Temple will weigh around 11 kgs, and the size and length of the flag have already been finalised.

On the day of the flag hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on November 25, devotees will not be able to visit the temple as usual. Only the invited guests and those involved in the arrangements will be able to worship Lord Shri Ram.

Disclosing this, Mishra, said that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra will seek the assistance of the Army to hoist the flag on the top of the Ram Temple.

He was briefing reporters on the agenda of the meeting before the second day of the meeting. Mishra stated that the discussion in today’s meeting focused solely on the proposed flag hoisting ceremony on November 25 and the arrangements related to it. He stated that approximately 8,000 people are being invited to the flag hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Temple complex.

He said that darshan and worship at the temple within the fort within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple complex will also begin the day after the flag hoisting ceremony. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has decided to allow darshan at all temples and places within the Ram Temple complex without any checking. The Trust will decide on any changes to the darshan arrangements.

He stated, ”It is our priority to ensure that devotees can easily view the construction work at the Ram Temple and attain benefit. He added that only a limited number of devotees will be able to visit Kuber Tila and the Ram Darbar located on the first floor of the Ram Temple.

Mishra arrived in Ayodhya yesterday and discussed the preparation of hoisting the flag on the top of the Ram Temple with construction agencies. Senior army officers also conducted rehearsals for hoisting the flag within the Ram Temple complex.

Discussions were also held regarding the fabric for the Ram Temple flag. He said that the flag to be hoisted at the Ram Temple may be made of parachute cloth. This will be decided at the Trust meeting today. The Army will share the flag-hoisting arrangements with the Trust in two days.
