Father accused of molesting 5-year-old in South Delhi

A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered at the Malviya Nagar Police Station on the statement of the wife of the accused and a probe has been initiated.

A 38-year-old woman living in South Delhi’s posh area of Panchsheel Park has reportedly registered a case against her husband for repeatedly molesting their five-year-old daughter by making her watch obscene videos.

On the statement of the complainant of the woman, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered at the Malviya Nagar Police Station and a probe has been initiated.

Apart from registering the case against her husband, the mother of the victim has also filed for divorce from her husband following the incident.

A police source confirmed that a woman had filed a complaint regarding the matter at the Malviya Nagar Police Station. In her statement, the complainant, who resides in the area of Greater Kailash part-2 with her parents, stated that she got married in the year 2010 with the accused, a resident of Palam Vihar, Gurugram. However, in a couple of years, she shifted to New Friends Colony with him following a family dispute with her in-laws.

Further, she along with her husband, shifted to Panchsheel Park, South Delhi in the year 2017. The same year, she gave birth to her daughter. According to the complainant, her relations with husband were not good.

She alleged that one day she caught her husband touching her daughter’s private parts while making her watch porn videos. However, despite her strict warning, he continued to indulge in the actreapeadely.

Meanwhile, in May this year, the woman was shocked when she saw her husband with her daughter in bed in an objectionable condition. After this, the woman left her husband’s house with her daughter.

Later, she filed for divorce in the month of September, and took her daughter to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for counseling. On a suggestion of the doctor, she filed a complaint against her husband.
