Family of Northern Railway staffer gets Rs 1 crore under Railway Salary Package Scheme

SBI pays Rs 1 crore to the next of kin of a Northern Railway employee under the Railway Salary Package Scheme.

Northern Railway, Lucknow Division, paid the family of Anwar Ali, Track Maintainer, working in the Engineering Department in Varanasi, who passed away in an accident during duty on March 25, 2025.

On Tuesday at Divisional Office, Northern Railway, Lucknow, the deceased employee’s mother, Kamrun Nisha (dependent), was formally presented with a cheque for the insurance/coverage amount of ₹1,00,00,000/ (Rs one crore ).

Kuldeep Tiwari, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Northern Railway, Lucknow, said Northern Railway, Lucknow Division, pays tribute to the deceased employee, late Anwar Ali, and expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The Division is committed to providing all possible assistance and support to the family during this difficult time.
