The Election Commission of India has activated the National Voter Helpline along with 36 state and district-level helplines to efficiently address all election-related queries and grievances from citizens, the poll panel said on Wednesday in a press note.

The National Contact Centre (NCC) serves as the central helpline for all states and Union Territories, operating daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM via the toll-free number 1800-11-1950. Calls are managed by trained executives who assist voters and stakeholders with a wide range of electoral services and inquiries.

In addition, the ECI has instructed each state/UT and district to establish their own State Contact Centre (SCC) and District Contact Centre (DCC), respectively. These centres function during office hours on all working days throughout the year and provide assistance in regional languages to ensure timely and localized responses.

The commission also tracks all complaints and queries through its National Grievance Service Portal (NGSP 2.0) for effective monitoring and resolution.

Further enhancing voter support, the ECI has launched the ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ facility. This feature allows citizens to directly connect with their respective Booth Level Officers (BLO) via the ECINET platform.

Additionally, voters can interact with election officials using the ECINet App.

Election officials at all levels, including Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs), District Electoral Officers (DEOs), and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), have been directed to regularly monitor these services and ensure the speedy disposal of user requests within 48 hours.

These new facilities complement existing mechanisms for addressing election-related grievances. Citizens may also send emails to complaints@eci.gov.in for assistance.

The Election Commission said it encourages all voters to utilize the ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ service and the dedicated Voter Helpline number 1950 for prompt, transparent, and reliable resolution of their electoral concerns.
