The second day of the defence technology exhibition East Tech 2025 at Khelgaon, Ranchi, drew more than 1,500 visitors, including Army officers, police personnel, NCC cadets, students, and industry representatives. The exhibition halls hosted B2B meetings, live demonstrations, and industry interactions, underscoring the growing linkages between the armed forces, industry, and academia.
A seminar on “MSMEs and Defence Corridor Development in Jharkhand” became the day’s highlight. Five speakers discussed how local enterprises could be integrated into the national defence value chain through design, manufacturing, supply-chain participation, and skill development. The deliberations underlined Jharkhand’s potential to evolve as a strategic hub for defence production and were well received by entrepreneurs and industry leaders alike.

The seminar echoed the emphasis on self-reliance in defence voiced during the inaugural session by Governor Santosh Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan. The leaders had called for greater innovation, indigenous solutions, and collaborative growth in the sector.
With more than 200 exhibitors presenting cutting-edge technologies, East Tech 2025 continues to position itself as a platform for showcasing capabilities and forging partnerships. Beyond identifying technologies for operational use, the event aims to give a push to Jharkhand’s economic growth by strengthening its MSMEs and attracting defence-industrial investment.
Day Two reaffirmed the exhibition’s broader goal: driving indigenisation, industrial growth, and national security preparedness while advancing Jharkhand’s aspirations in the defence manufacturing corridor.
