Hitting out at the Opposition Congress and RJD in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday said the progress made during the NDA rule was never seen in the past decades. He said today, work in Bihar is progressing rapidly because both the Centre and the State governments are committed to Bihar’s development.
Addressing a rally at Motihari in poll-bound Bihar, Modi said,” Compared to Congress and RJD, our government has given Bihar several times more funds. This money is being used for public welfare and development projects in the state.
”When the Congress and RJD were in power at the Centre, Bihar received only around Rs 2 lakh crore during the 10 years of the UPA government. In other words, they were punishing Nitish Ji’s government. In 2014, you allowed me to serve at the Centre. After coming to power, I put an end to that old politics of revenge against Bihar. In the last 10 years, under the NDA government, the funds allocated for Bihar’s development have been much more than before.”

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated, and dedicated multiple development projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore at Motihari in Bihar.
PM Modi received a grand welcome as he arrived at the public meeting venue, where the atmosphere was electric. Chants and celebrations were seen as the Prime Minister greeted the enthusiastic crowd.
Modi said, “The efforts for women empowerment are yielding remarkable results. The number of ‘Lakhpati Didis’ is increasing both in the country and in Bihar. We have set a target of making 3 crore sisters ‘Lakhpati Didis’ across the nation.”
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, his Deputies — Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha — were also present on the stage.
PM Modi flagged off four new Amrit Bharat trains between Rajendra Nagar Terminal (Patna) to New Delhi, Bapudham Motihari to Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal), Darbhanga to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) and Malda Town to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) via Bhagalpur, improving connectivity in the region.
