The Department of Posts on Thursday released a Special Cover (customised stamp ticket) dedicated to Coal India and its “Coal Warriors” during the valedictory session of the two-day National PR Conclave 2025, organised by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at the Gangotri Convention Centre, CCL Headquarters, Ranchi.
The Special Cover and souvenir “Navchetna” were jointly unveiled by CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, and Director, Postal Services (Jharkhand) R.V. Chaudhary.

Singh said the postage stamp is “not just a piece of paper but a carrier of emotions that connects hearts.” He added that even in the digital age, letters and posts remain among the most genuine forms of communication. Mishra described public relations as the backbone of any organisation, highlighting CCL’s community outreach through safety, CSR, and welfare initiatives.
The conclave, themed “Redefining PR: From Information to Engagement in the Era of Digitalization,” brought together communication professionals, media experts, academicians, and students for discussions on the evolving face of public relations.
The second day began with a session on “Role of Radio: Information to Engagement especially in Rural Areas,” led by Inu Majumdar, CEO, Radio Orange, Nagpur. She said the radio continues to serve as an emotional bridge connecting rural India.
In another session, Sameer Kapoor, Director, Ad Factors, Delhi, spoke on “New Age of PR in the Changing Digital World,” emphasising that PR 2.0 is driven by digital media, influencers, and real-time engagement. Vikas Pathe of IIM Ranchi discussed the importance of continuous learning, while Sanjeev Shekhar of Adani Power underlined that “a brand’s true image is what people say in your absence.”
The valedictory session featured an interactive dialogue between students and advertising veteran Prahlad Kakkar, who shared insights on creativity and communication ethics.
Delivering a vote of thanks, Alok Kumar Gupta, Head of Corporate Communications & PR, CCL, said the conclave had become “a confluence of ideas and a platform shaping the future of public relations in India.”
The National PR Conclave 2025 reaffirmed that public relations today is a process of empathy, engagement, and trust-building that connects organisations with society in the digital era.
