6,000 schoolgirls take part in Delhi Police self-defence camp
Apart from the self-defence training, nukkad natak, gender sensitisation programmes and lectures on awareness about new laws were also conducted across the ten venues.
Delhi Police today filed the chargesheet against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the Wrestling Federation of India WFI chief. A short while back they reached the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi with the chargesheet.
Brij Bhushan has been accused of sexually molesting the women wrestlers including a minor.
In the month of April, Delhi Police registered two FIRs against the WFI chief after the wrestling Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat started a protest against him. The first FIR was about the sexual harassment of the child by the accused.

The wrestlers sat on a dharna at Jantar Mantar for over a month seeking police intervention in the case. After which the Delhi Police filed an FIR. However, later they sought his arrest as well.
More recently, after Home Minister Amit Shah’s intervention wrestlers withdrew their protest saying that they will again sit on the protest if by June 15 Brij Bhushan is not arrested.
