The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is preparing for a grand and eco-friendly Deepotsava 2025, scheduled to take place on October 19 in Ayodhya.
This year’s celebration will feature an international-standard aerial fireworks show, created with environmentally friendly technology and choreographed to music, providing visitors with a memorable visual and cultural experience.

At the heart of the festival, more than 26 lakh diyas will light up the ghats of the Sarayu River and Ram ki Paidi, symbolising the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya. Alongside the diyas and devotional performances, the Green Fireworks Show will serve as the evening’s highlight, bringing together faith and innovation in a pollution-free spectacle.
The fireworks, lasting nearly 10 minutes, will combine music, laser effects, and modern choreography. Designed to global standards, the show will rise over 200 meters into the night sky, casting shimmering reflections on the river and creating an atmosphere of awe for pilgrims and tourists alike.
UP Tourism & Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said here on Saturday, “Deepotsava 2025 will be a festival like no other. With over 26 lakh diyas and an international-standard, eco-friendly fireworks show, we are presenting Ayodhya’s cultural grandeur while staying mindful of environmental responsibility. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, this year’s celebration will leave every visitor with an unforgettable experience.”
State Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, added, “Deepotsava 2025 is a celebration of both tradition and innovation. The introduction of eco-friendly, choreographed fireworks reflects our commitment to sustainability while showcasing Ayodhya’s heritage to the world. This festival is not just Uttar Pradesh’s pride — it is a cultural moment for India.”
Over the years, Deepotsava has grown from a local festival to a national and global symbol of India’s spiritual identity. This year’s edition promises to be a powerful experience — from the diyas glowing across the ghats to the eco-friendly fireworks illuminating the Ayodhya skies, Deepotsava 2025 will stand as a proud moment for India on the global tourism map.
