Wanted criminal killed in encounter with UP STF
A notorious criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head was shot dead in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, police said on Friday.
A police constable was killed and three Army soldiers injured in an encounter with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in the Kulgam district on Wednesday evening.
The martyred cop has been identified as Rohit Chib.
A terrorist has been killed and the operation was continuing, said IGP Vijay Kumar.
Two civilians suffered minor injuries in the crossfire.
