Ahead of 5th phase of polls, TMC workers defect to Congress
As the state will go to polls for the fifth phase on Monday, the Trinamul Congress suffered a setback on Friday.
The Congress party denied media reports that Kamal Nath had resigned from his post as the party’s Madhya Pradesh Chief in the wake of its humiliating defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls in the state.
The MP unit of the Congress said here on its official X handle that the reports about Kamal Nath’s resignation were false and baseless.
The BJP gave a drubbing to the Congress by winning 163 of the 230 seats in assembly polls. The grand old party managed to win 66 seats.
