Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the Congress of labeling the youth of Varanasi "drug addicts", taking a dig at the opposition INDIA bloc.
In support of farmers’ demand from the Centre to ensure legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP), the opposition Congress MLAs today staged a protest in the Madhya Pradesh State Assembly here.
Congress MLAs with placards in their hands gathered in the Assembly premises at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, located just outside the main entrance to the Assembly building.
The placards in the hands of the opposition MLAs read that MSP is the right of farmers.
The MLAs raised slogans and demanded that the justified demands of the agitating farmers must be met.
The opposition MLAs also protested the arrest of several farmer leaders and farmers in the run up to the proposed national agitation of farmers in New Delhi with the call of ‘Dilli Chalo’.
