Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Expresses Condolences Over Loss of Lives in Vadodara Bridge Collapse

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Wednesday expressed his deep sorrow and condolences over the tragic bridge collapse in Vadodara, Gujarat, which claimed several innocent lives.

In a statement, Gandhi, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

At least nine people were killed, and as many rescued after multiple vehicles fell into the Mahisagar River when a 43-year-old bridge in Gujarat’s Vadodara district collapsed early today.

“The incident of the bridge collapse in Vadodara, Gujarat, and vehicles falling into the river, resulting in the death of many innocent people, is extremely sad and painful. I express my deep condolences to the grief-stricken families of the deceased and hope for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Rahul Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi urged the administration to provide quality medical treatment to the injured and ensure all possible assistance to the affected families. “I expect the administration to provide good treatment to the injured and offer all possible assistance to the affected families,” he added.
