The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government for planning celebrations to mark the completion of three years in office, alleging that the government has no achievements to showcase.

BJP senior spokesperson and MLA Trilok Jamwal said the three years of Congress rule have brought nothing but corruption, mismanagement, inflation, and deception.

“The government celebrates every year only to burden the public with economic hardships,” he said. Jamwal alleged that contractors have not been paid for their work, pensioners are facing constant uncertainty, and the promised Dearness Allowance remains confined to official papers. “Jobs have become a distant dream for the youth,” he added.

He further stated that 28 lakh women are still waiting for their promised Rs 1,500, while farmers and horticulturists continue to be deprived of their due benefits.

“This is a government of waiting — people are waiting for relief, jobs, and justice,” he remarked.

Jamwal also accused the government of failing to maintain law and order, claiming that crime rates have risen and that mining, liquor, and land mafias are thriving under political protection.

“These three years have been marked only by failure and despair. The Congress government has turned this beautiful state into a land of chaos,” he said.

BJP state media in-charge Randhir Sharma also criticised the Congress government, saying it has no moral right to celebrate.

“In three years, it has failed to deliver a single significant achievement in public or state interest,” he said. Sharma alleged that the government has pushed Himachal Pradesh to the brink of financial bankruptcy, burdening the state with a debt of Rs 1 lakh crore and failing to pay salaries and pensions on time.

He claimed that most development work in the state is being carried out with central funds under schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and Central Road Fund, while the state government’s own budget is invisible.

“Instead of easing the people’s lives, the government has imposed new taxes and added to their financial burden. This government has no reason — or moral ground — to celebrate,” Sharma asserted.
