Five weeks ahead of Chhattisgarh’s Rajyotsav celebrations, a high-level meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to review preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit.
The meeting, convened in the Main Committee Hall of the Assembly premises, underscored the state government’s focus on ensuring seamless arrangements.

Chief Minister Sai instructed departments to coordinate closely so that “every aspect of the Prime Minister’s visit reflects the pride and aspirations of Chhattisgarh.” Officials confirmed that security, infrastructure, and public participation plans are being finalized on priority.
Prime Minister Modi will attend the Rajyotsav as part of the state’s Silver Jubilee celebrations. During his visit, he is scheduled to inaugurate the new building of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, dedicate the Chhattisgarh Tribal Museum, and formally launch the Rajyotsav.
The Silver Jubilee year marks a milestone in Chhattisgarh’s journey since its formation in 2000. By combining cultural celebration with infrastructure milestones, the upcoming visit is expected to showcase both the state’s heritage and its development trajectory on the national stage.
Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Forest and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, MLAs Ajay Chandrakar, Prabodh Minj, Bhavana Bohra, and Anuj Sharma joined the review. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, and senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and Vidhan Sabha Secretariat were also present.
