Chhattisgarh CM pays tribute to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his martyrdom day

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai offered heartfelt floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, an eminent educationist, India’s first Industry Minister, and a revered nationalist thinker, on the solemn occasion of his Balidan Diwas (Day of Sacrifice) at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur today.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai described Dr Mukherjee as a guardian of India’s unity, integrity, and national pride. “Holding the nation’s interests above all else, he dedicated his entire life to the service of the motherland. His profound thoughts, lifelong struggles, and supreme sacrifice remain an invaluable legacy for Indian democracy and nationalist ideology,” he said.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Dr Mukherjee provided a strong ideological foundation to the country’s political landscape and made monumental contributions to national unity. He noted that Dr Mukherjee’s unwavering commitment to India’s territorial integrity and cultural identity continues to serve as a deep source of inspiration for every citizen.

As India moves forward on the path towards becoming a developed, self-reliant, and empowered nation, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s ideals and core principles continue to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance, Chief Minister Sai said. “By imbibing his thoughts and values, the resolve towards nation-building can be carried forward more effectively,” he added.
