CJP’s protest stage dismantled after ‘Chalo Sansad’ march
The stage where activist Sonam Wangchuk observed his hunger strike was dismantled, while officials removed trampolines, carpets, mattresses and other materials.
Denying reports of protestors being subjected to violence or detained at Jantar Mantar, the Delhi Police on Monday said that no such incident has taken place and the demonstration is being handled “professionally”.
“Some segments from media have mentioned sporadic use of violence/detentions at Jantar Mantar by Delhi Police,” read a post on the official X handle of Delhi Police.

It added, “It is informed that no such incident has taken place and protest is being handled professionally. All are requested not to fall pray to any rumour/ misgivings, and, to assist Delhi Police in maintaining peace and public order at and around the site.”

The police has urged people not to believe any unverified information and appealed for cooperation in maintaining law and order in the area.
A large number of protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar in the national capital to organise their ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak issue.
According to IANS, the situation turned tense when clashes broke out between police and demonstrators, with security personnel attempting to stop them from crossing barricades.
The protest site is witnessing a heavy security presence, with Delhi Police putting up multiple layers of barricading across the New Delhi district to control the movement of protesters.
Photographs and videos from the protest spot showed hundreds of students and young protesters carrying flags and raising slogans.
Several of them were even seen attempting to move beyond the barricades, following which police personnel repeatedly pushed them back to maintain order.
Notably, the demonstration at Jantar Mantar has been going on for more than a month, with its main demand being the resignation of the Union Education Minister over allegations related to the NEET-UG paper leak.
