Medical licences must not be used as a tool against people: S. Korea Prez
Lamenting the ongoing walkout by junior doctors in South Korea, President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday asked them not to use their medical licences as a tool against the people.
The retirement age of doctors employed in the Central Health Service (CHS) will now be 65 years, up from the existing 62 years, it was announced on Wednesday.
The decision will be implemented retrospectively from May 31, 2016.
A total of 1,445 doctors of various ministries and departments of the central government would benefit from the cabinet decision.
