The BJP state office in Patna witnessed jubilant celebrations on Tuesday following Nitin Nabin’s unopposed election as the party’s National President, with workers bursting fireworks and distributing sweets.

Nitin Nabin, a five-time MLA from Patna’s Bankipur constituency, is the youngest leader so far to assume this position in the party.

In Delhi, Bihar BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi felicitated Nitin Nabin with a large garland made of ‘makhana’ (fox nuts), a symbol of Bihar’s identity. On this occasion, he also presented him with a memento depicting the Ram Darbar as a mark of honour.

Saraogi said that this responsibility is a powerful symbol of the hopes, expectations, and resolve of crores of party workers.

He said, “Under the leadership of Nitin Nabin, the party will certainly touch new heights of service, dedication, and empowerment.”

Saraogi further expressed confidence that Nitin Nabin’s youthful leadership, humble and friendly nature, positive energy, experience, effective administrative ability, clean image, and friendly behaviour toward party workers will always keep the party strong. He said that his leadership will infuse the party with new energy and expand it further.

Congratulating Nitin Nabin on being elected as the party’s National President, BJP National Secretary Rituraj Sinha said that his achievement is a symbol of the changing leadership capacity of Bihar.

“It is the biggest proof of Bihar’s changing character and its growing leadership capability,” he said.

Sinha termed it a turning point for the party and said that this election is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of entrusting India’s future to young leadership.

“Once known for backwardness, Bihar has today emerged under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership as a state capable of leading the nation. It is a matter of pride for every Bihari that a young leader from the state will now lead the world’s largest political party,” he added.
