Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday expressed his satisfaction over the boost in the pace of development and quantum of investment in different sectors, including tourism, in post Rising Rajasthan Global investors summit 2024 scenario.
Addressing the tourism sector pre-summit here, he assured that his government would be ever ready to take all necessary steps to serve the investors well.

“We have duly revised different policies for convenience and benefits of the investors – entrepreneurs and would ever be ready to take all possible investor friendly decisions, including revision or formulation of policies,” he said.
Sharma said that our move of holding Rising Rajasthan global investors summit – 2024 in December last year met with great success as we had achieved signing of the MoUs of Rs 35 lakh crore. Of these 702 MoU of Rs 1,44,625 crore are for projects in the tourism sector, he said.
The CM said, “Of these as many as 277 projects worth Rs 10,000 crores have achieved the ground breaking stage. The rest of the total 702 projects have been in different stages of implementation and on commencement these will generate job avenues for 2 lakh youths.
Projecting Rajasthan’s rich potential as the most favourite tourism destination, Sharma said, “We in the state have all attractions for tourists such as historic forts, royal palaces, heritage havelis, wildlife sanctuaries, the Thar desert, spiritual tourism. This enabled us to achieve footfall of 15 crore domestic and 12 lakh foreign tourists during 8 months between January and August 2025.”
He said we have all potential to become the top ranked tourism rich state of the country.
Encouraged by the scenario, the state government has decided to bring new tourism policy that would focus on infrastructure strengthening, promotion of rural tourism, well-being tourism and incentives and other promotional steps for film making. A total of 662 heritage havelis of Shekhawati region would also be given facelift, renovation in conservative way to preserve the heritage character.
A Rs 5,000 crore corpus – the Rajasthan Tourism Infrastructure and Capacity Building Fund – is being floated for cultural heritage and eco-friendly tourism initiatives, CM said.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, who holds the Finance and Tourism portfolio, Rajasthan Heritage Authority Chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat, Chief Secretary V Srinivas and several dignitaries were present.
