At the time of the search operation, the CM was attending a function in Banda away from Lucknow.

It was reported that the Lucknow Police was informed by the Delhi Police Control Room that they had received a call about a bomb near Yogi Adityanath’s residence. Two calls were made to the Delhi police control room first at 2.40 pm and another at 3.10 pm by the caller.

Gautampalli Inspector Sudhir Awasthi, who led the search, claimed that the information was fake. Later, the Delhi Police also termed the information fake.

On ascertaining the information, it has come to know that the Delhi police Control Room had received the information about the bomb in many states in the same language, after which the information was given to the Lucknow Police.

The police said the mobile number from which the message came was presently switched off. However, a probe has been ordered.
