Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday launched a scathing attack on the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, alleging that the state’s healthcare system has deteriorated under its watch. “The BJP’s misrule has turned ambulances into ‘bullock carts’.
In UP, bullock carts are running instead of ambulances,” Yadav said in a post on his WhatsApp channel.

Yadav questioned the government’s ability to drive the state’s economy forward, asking, “Will a bullock cart pull a trillion-dollar economy?” He also criticised the Chief Minister, saying, “Next time, when the CM goes out to inspect crops, please also take a look at the condition of roads and ambulances. If it’s not visible, use binoculars or drones for good use.”
The SP chief also targeted the state health minister, saying, “If the ‘Health Minister’ hasn’t been limited to just a nameplate, then at least register their presence in the difficulties faced by the sick, if not in ceremonies.” Yadav’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the state’s healthcare infrastructure and the government’s ability to provide basic services to its citizens.
Yadav’s attack on the BJP government highlights the growing discontent over the state’s healthcare system. The SP chief’s comments are also likely to further intensify the debate on the government’s performance and its ability to deliver essential services to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
