Amit Shah to visit Assam in the wake of Lok Sabha polls
Sarma expects visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda to the state shortly.
Shah was addressing BJP workers in Bhopal at the party’s ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’ ahead of the Assembly Election.
Raking up the issue of illegal migrants, Bharatiya Janata Party President (BJP) Amit Shah said on Tuesday that his party is committed to rid the country of illegal migrants.
Shah was addressing BJP workers in Bhopal at the party’s ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’ ahead of the Assembly Election. Shah mentioned the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam in which over 40 lakh individuals were reportedly found to be staying illegally in India.
Targeting the Congress, he said the grand old party raised a lot of noise on the possible deportation of the migrants but “the BJP has decided that it will force them out”.

Shah urged the party members to create “strong winds” in favour of the BJP in Madhya Pradesh which can eventually turn into a “tsunami” in the general elections next year.
