Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Wednesday visited the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Maharashtra’s Nagpur to meet RSS supremo (Sarsanghchalak) Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary (Sarkaryawah) Bhayyaji Joshi.

BJP President Shah arrived at the RSS headquarters in the city’s Mahal area around 12.20 pm and left at 4.40 pm.

Before Amit Shah arrived, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti visited the RSS headquarters. The meeting between Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat is very important in view of the upcoming Assembly elections in three states — Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Newly elected Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje also visited the RSS headquarters on Wednesday.

Earlier, Shah had visited the RSS headquarters on March 4. This is the third meeting between Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat in the last two months.
