Addressing the media at his official residence, the Chief Minister said that the BJP had entered the elections with the issues of development, security, and governance.
Senior BJP leader Pramod Yadav was on Thursday shot dead by unidentified miscreants outside his house in Bodhpur village here, police said.
Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal Singh said the motorcycle-borne culprits shot Yadav (55) three times and fled from the scene. They later abandoned the motorcycle some distance away from the crime spot.
He said Yadav, who was serving as the district BJP secretary, died on the way to the district hospital.

Incidentally, the BJP leader’s father Rajbali Yadav was also shot dead in 1980. He was associated with the Jan Sangh.
The police have seized the bike used in the crime.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed in Bodhpur village where additional police have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
Pramod Yadav was the former district president of BJP Kisan Morcha too. In 2012, he contested the assembly elections from Malhani on a BJP ticket, but lost.
