BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi on Saturday drew the attention of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to what he described as a serious attempt to destroy sensitive and critical evidence related to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Marandi said media reports indicate that multiple locks had to be installed in key ACB offices, following claims that several important files and computer hard disks were removed from the premises overnight.

“This appears to be a serious case of attempts to destroy evidence related to highly sensitive ACB cases,” Marandi said.
Pointing out that the Chief Minister himself holds the ACB portfolio, Marandi urged immediate action, including filing an FIR and launching a probe, before “mischievous conspirators” involve the CM in their plots.
He added that it was reassuring that the Chief Minister has now recognized the extent of alleged extortion and financial irregularities occurring under his watch. Marandi also warned that those previously involved in similar conspiracies might attempt once again to entangle the CM, as they had in the past by submitting numerous complaint letters.
Marandi suggested that the administration review his earlier social media posts on the matter for context. He concluded by urging prompt action to expose and penalize those allegedly behind the scheme.
