OBC Mahasabha protest in Bhopal over 27% reservation demand; police use water cannons

Election Commission’s Senior Deputy Commissioner Umesh Sinha over a video conference with Deputy Commissioners and CEO on Tuesday reviewed the poll preparedness in the state for Vidhan Sabha elections-2017.
He directed the District Election Officers to ensure that photo voter slips were distributed to each and every voter in the state by 2 November, 2017 through booth level officers.

If elector is not found at the given address on 1 and 2 November, the slips will be delivered on 3 November.

In case, elector does not find a photo voter slip, it should not be presumed that he has lost right to vote. The voter may exercise franchise showing EPIC or any alternative document notified by the Commission.
Those electors, who do not receive a photo voter slips by 3 November, may contact their respective District Election Office in their districts or CEO.
Voters can also dial toll free number 1950 for any information in this matter.
