Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s jibe at his detractors on Twitter boomeranged as it attracted a bigger one from a former Congress man, now a BJP minister in Assam.

On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi posted a video of his dog ‘Pidi’ with the comment that the four-legged was responsible for his tweets. In response, Assam’s education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is a former Congress man, responded: “Sir,who knows him better than me. Still remember you busy feeding biscuits 2 him while We wanted to discuss urgent Assam’s issues.”

Putting a video of his dog Pidi, Rahul wrote: “Ppl been asking who tweets for this guy..I’m coming clean..it’s me..Pidi..I’m way < smiley> than him. Look what I can do with a tweet..oops..treat!”

Himanta Biswa Sarma, currently one of BJP’s star performers from North-East, reminded Rahul Gandhi how he had once given prominence to feeding his dog when he (Himanta) wanted to discuss Assam’s important issues with him.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also came in support of Himanta through a tweet. While tagging the Assam minister’s tweet, Rijiju wrote: “Many Congress(I) leaders also have similar stories but HImanta Biswa ji had the spunk to point-out & walk-out.”
