In a bizzare incident, attempts of burning alive a women and her lover, were made allegedly by their relatives in Badilav village of the Dudu block in Jaipur district, police said on Saturday.
According to police sources, the couple was found in an objectionable condition in an agricultural field Friday night. They allegedly sprinkled petrol and set them afire. Some villagers who reached the spot hearing noise, rescued them.

The duo with grave burn injuries was taken to nearby Community Health Center(CMC) from where they were referred to the SMS Hospital here, after the first aid.

The woman sustained 30 to 40 percent burns while her lover suffered 60 per cent burns, the police said adding condition of the two at the hospital was stated to be serious but stable.
The forensic experts have visited the crime spot to collect clues – evidences. Three to four persons were taken into custody for interrogation.
