On the court’s orders, SP Farrukhabad Aarti Singh appeared in court today.
In the previous hearing, the High Court had summoned SP Farrukhabad, CO Kaimganj Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi, and the Kaimganj Police Station in-charge.
A habeas corpus petition was filed by Preeti Yadav and two others.
The petition alleges that at around 9:00 pm on September 8, four or five policemen, including station in-charge Anurag Mishra and the CO, forcibly entered the house and detained two family members.
After being held in police custody for a week, they were released at 11 pm on September 14. Before their release, they were made to sign a written statement agreeing not to file any complaints.
