He said, “Do politics as you please, but linguistic decorum must also be maintained.”

The All India Sant Samiti has strongly condemned Akhilesh Yadav’s statement. Swami Jitendranand said, “Akhilesh Yadav cannot distribute certificates declaring anyone a saint, sage, or sanyasi.”

He further said, “Regarding the question concerning the position of Shankaracharya, whose guru’s name has not yet reached a decision in the Supreme Court and whose consecration is prohibited, how can the position be bequeathed? Akhilesh Yadav’s statement in his favour, despite the case being pending in court, is highly condemnable.”

Swami Jitendrananda said that Yogi Adityanath does not need any certificate from Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav is playing politics on his father’s will and legacy, whereas Yogi Adityanath is a third-generation Mahant of the Gorakhnath Peeth and a politician.
