Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav has strongly condemned the inhumane treatment meted out to the students and youth protesting alleged corruption at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in Prayagraj.
He said assaulting and humiliating unemployed youth by grabbing their hair reflects the BJP government’s arrogance of power, which has now taken an inhumane form. In a statement issued by the party on Monday, Akhilesh Yadav said here on Monday that educated young people do not want to fight; they are only demanding a clean and transparent recruitment process.

He clarified that the Samajwadi Party stands as a moral force with competitive students and hence strongly demands a Special Investigation Report (SIR) regarding allegations of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s flawed examination system and corrupt selection process.
He asserted that future generations will never forgive the BJP for its brutal treatment of youth. He said employment is not on the BJP’s agenda and as the saffron party remains in power in the state, finding a job will remain difficult. After making false promises to students and youth, the party has completely failed to fulfill them.
Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that corruption is rampant in every department, said students and youth are bearing the brunt. He demanded that the government, instead of suppressing the voices of the youth, address their problems and ensure a fair recruitment process.
