Rajnath to file nomination from Lucknow LS seat on 29 April
Polling for the Lucknow LS seat will be held in the fifth phase on 20 May. Nominations for the fifth phase will commence on 26 April.
A major mishap was averted at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here on Sunday morning when a bird hit an Air Asia flight.
The Kolkata bound plane was hit by the bird during take off. There were 180 passengers in the plane, airport sources here said.
The Air Asia flight was to depart from Lucknow to Kolkata at 10:55 am.
Taking precautions, the pilot immediately stopped the aircraft on the runway and alerted the airport administration.
Security forces also reached the spot and the passengers were safely deboarded from the aircraft.
The airline made alternate arrangements for the passengers.
